Queen Anne suffered from ill health all her life, and for the last six months of it she was unable to walk. Most sources attribute her death to a stroke. The Guinness Book of Answers calls it a cerebral haemorrhage; according to the Stroke Association, this is another name for a haemorrhagic stroke, a type that accounts for only about 15% of all strokes. The other 85% are ischaemic strokes (caused by a blockage to the blood supply in the brain).
